Sheffield
Where to find events in Sheffield.
Sheffield's programme is anchored by two things that rarely overlap: the Crucible and Lyceum theatres, and a genuinely deep independent music scene running through the Leadmill, Sidney & Matilda and Yellow Arch.
Which Sheffield listings are worth checking?
Sheffield Theatres runs the Crucible, the Lyceum and the Studio from one site, and between them they carry most of the city's drama - plus the World Snooker Championship every spring, which takes over the Crucible entirely.
For music, the Foundry takes much of the touring circuit, while Sidney & Matilda, Yellow Arch Studios and Network cover the independent end. The Leadmill lost its long-time building in 2025 and now programmes across other venues, so check its own listings rather than a fixed address. Tramlines runs its own festival site each July.
The Millennium Gallery and Site Gallery cover exhibitions and talks. The event sites below cover all of it.
