Nottingham
Where to find events in Nottingham.
Nottingham has a compact centre and a dense listings calendar - Rock City, the Motorpoint Arena, Nottingham Playhouse and the Theatre Royal are all within a short walk of each other and all programme separately.
Which Nottingham listings are worth checking?
Rock City is the one most people know, and it still carries a large share of the touring circuit alongside Rescue Rooms and the Bodega next door. The Motorpoint Arena takes the bigger shows.
Nottingham Playhouse programmes new work and the Theatre Royal handles touring productions; the Playhouse's Neon Fringe and the Nottingham Comedy Festival both run separately again.
Nottingham Contemporary is free, programmes ambitious exhibitions, and runs a talks series that rarely appears in general listings. Everything worth checking is below.
